Featured Student: Winter Break

The past couple of weeks, I’ve given some tips on surviving the last few weeks of the semester and finals, which means there is a long winter break coming up! Unless you’re graduating this weekend or next, that means that there is a spring semester awaiting you too. Not what you want to be thinking about right now, I know, but it’ll definitely sneak up on you! I know I like to enjoy my break from school with as few school-related activities as possible, but it might also be a good time to get lots of things done. Now, I’m not saying I’ll spend my entire break doing case studies and reading textbooks to prepare for next semester, but I think it’ll be a good opportunity to get things done that I put off during the semester. Things such as documenting work experiences for mandatory experience hours, updating resumes, working on scholarship applications/essays and more are all things that don’t take a TON of time, but they take enough time that you just can’t fit it in with all your schoolwork sometimes. Non-school related things tend to get pushed ‘out of the way’ too during the semester, which is why I’m also looking forward to some time to paint, read (non-textbooks), and try out some new recipes in the kitchen.

What are some of the school-related or just-for-fun things you plan on doing over break that you just don’t have a chance to do when school is in session?
