After getting an internship, and then completing your internship, the next thing on your mind will be actually getting your R.D. certification. Your last hurdle? The R.D. test. This week I’ve decided to provide you with a R.D. test breakdown, so hopefully it won’t be so scary when your time comes J
Registration Exam for Dietitians:
· Computerized test
· 21% Management content
· 17% Foodservice Systems
· 12% Food and Nutrition Sciences
· 10% Counseling, Communication, Education and Research
· 40% Nutrition Care Process and Model both Simple and Complex Conditions
· Focuses on:
o Broad areas of individual impact in food and nutrition
o Clinical treatment
o Education and research
o Administration of state and community nutritional programs
The test is about applying all the knowledge you learned in your undergrad + internship experience. If you feel like you know what your doing and understand nutrition, don’t stress!!
