After seeing a few bloggers rave about canned salmon as a quick add-in, I thought I’d give it a shot. Um…yeah. I was not so jazzed about this.
I had just gotten out of a really vigorous yoga class and was already feeling kind of blah thanks to sleep deprivation and the effects of a second glass of wine I wished I hadn’t had the night before. I wanted something quick that would fill me up since I had a busy afternoon of schoolwork ahead. I saw this can of salmon in the cabinet and thought, “maybe it will be like tuna.”
I guess it was kind of like tuna. Maybe that was my issue with it. When I think salmon, I don’t think canned tuna. I should have known. To be fair, perhaps I would have done better to use, say, half of the three-ounce can instead of the whole thing. Even with some greens, tomato and balsamic in that whole wheat wrap, the fishy flavor was a bit overpowering. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.
